So in case you want to know

Well if you have seen Kara in the last 3 days you may have seen her owie. She has a bruise/cut on the bridge of her nose. poor karas nose so I asked her what happened as I was at work.....So I asked her what happened because I was at work. So she said "momma, come here look." So I follow her to her room and I guess this is what happened......and Kara is telling me how she got hurt From what I gather was she was standing on the motorcycle rocking thing and fell... Thank goodness that she didn't get her eye...
I didn't ask what happened to her forehead....

Great story, but you might cry...

Last night, there was a young man who came into Cattlemens and he was going to propose to his girlfriend that night at dinner for their anniversary. Doug, my manager, asks him if he wants to down play it or if he would like for us to make his table special (normally we do a tablecloth and candle). The guy said sure. So they put the tablecloth on and, Doug leaves work and goes to Safeway and buys roses. Misty my other manager picks up some sparkling cider (as they look young so we would have an alternative to champagne).
So the table is set and waiting for them. Their server Carla was waiting on another table across from the one set up and it was a couple celebrating their 50Th wedding anniversary. They asked what was going on with the table, and Carla told them the story. Then after the young couple arrived and the 50Th anniversary couple told Carla that they would like to buy the dinner of the young couple. Not only that but they asked her to get an envelope because they wanted to leave $100 as an engagement gift.
I think I am going to cry again:)

Boredum+kids are napping, brought about these thoughts

*I love project runway, they can do a show with drag queens and I am still interested. Seriously what other show could do one and I would be like I can't wait to see what they do? And one is named hedda lettuce? Funny...

*Why do guys who drive Lexus' think that its alright to park in handicaped spots? Is it because they spent so much on that car that it permanently hurt their wallets?

*I am going to miss watching the Olympics all day and all night every day, but maybe then I will get some more sleep.

*Did you know it takes more calories to digest celery than are in it? Too bad I like peanut butter or spinach dip on mine.

*Jason is cutting a new tooth, a molar I think so he wines sometimes in the middle of the night prompting me to get up, then I end up watching the Olympics... But I do wonder is it possible that men don't hear their children crying in the middle of the night? Although Thursday night I was up for 2 hours and I was praying that the kids would sleep till 8:00 so I could sleep later and would you know it, but Tim got up with them?

*Did you know that I got cute jeans, for me today, at JC Penny's for $1.59 that's including the tax? Score!

*Giants are going to beat on Jet Farve here in just a few minutes, I hate to admit but I am excited for football season to start.

*What I am not excited about is Madden, Tim gets so into the games that, sometimes I wonder if he would notice that the house was burning down around him. Case in point, the guy he was playing 2 days ago called him when the game was over and said he had just gone outside and someone had stolen his car while he was playing. (this was like in LA or something).

*I love that whenever I go to the store and plan on baking something that I have to buy brown sugar because I am not sure if I have any. I was just making muffins and saw at least 3 unopened packages. Same with powdered sugar. But I never think maybe I need flour, sugar or eggs, and those are the things I never have when I want to make cookies.

*Everyday Kara asks to go to, the gym, the bounce houses, the mall (she loves that play area) and chuck e cheese. I think that is in hopes of getting one Last weekend we were at the mall and Kara spun the wheel at one of the booths and won a month of free gymnastics classes. I can't wait to have her go and have fun!

For Aunt Dixies reading enjoyment....and everyone elses...

This is one of my best Kara stories although it happend a few months ago I wanted to share it with you all.

Whenever we go to Costco, Kara always looks forward to the end where she gets to hold the receipt and get a smiley face when we get it marked going out the door. So this day Kara was talking about it all through check out. "momma its going to be soooooo silly" She said that about 6 times. As we are walking up I see that it is the one guy who never makes smileys for the kids he always just marks them and gives them back. So I am praying that he is going to make this silly face that Kara is looking forward too. We get up there and he just marks it with the line and hands it back. So I know that he didn't do it. So I start pushing the basket as fast as I can to prevent everyone form hearing the scream that I am sure to come. Kara flips over the receipt looks at it and looks at it...... "Momma" I am holding my breath "yeah" I say. "Momma he made me a magic wand!"

I love her!

Spur of the moment vacation.

Tim and I have been saying that we want to go on vacation....But we haven't planned one, didn't have the time or the money ready. But somehow Tim text me on Sunday while he was at work and said let get away tommorrow. 6 flags or the coast. Both sounded good to me, and I just happened to have Monday tuesday and wednesday off it worked out. Monday we went to six flags discovery kingdom. Where if you buy your tickets right now they are $29.99 but for $39.99 you can get a season pass for six visits. So we went for that and plan on going back once a month until January.
PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket Then from there we weren't ready to go home so we drove to peataluma and spent the night. In the morning we debated where to go and ended up going north on our way to Eureka. We saw the turn off for Fort Bragg and said why not, and went that way. Stopping in mendicino and then for lunch and Ocean playing in fort bragg. The kids loved it. The water was cold but the sand was warm. So we would get out feet wet then bury them in the sand to warm them up.PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket And I was able to get a Family picture!Photobucket It seams like the first good one since Jason was born! After the ocean we headed up toward Eureka stopping in Leggett to pick blackberries, yum! Through the avenue of giants, and made it to Eureka where all the rooms were booked and we got the very last one. At, a hefty price:(....(well we probablly could have gotten a roach motel). In the morning we hit the mall for a little bit then made our way towards home. We stopped at the trinity river and let the kids wade in it for a while. And then in Weaverville for a late lunch. What a relaxing trip, with no intinary no rules and no reservations. We decided that we need to do it more often. Along the way we read The five people you meet in heaven. I read aloud to Tim as we were driving, and we finished it about 45 minutes before we got home. What a great book. It definetly puts your mind to thinking about where you fit in Gods plan and the people in your life and why they are there. Even someone who you may have only meet once or not even at all. You should all read it.
